1. Wash hands with soap before eating and after going to the toilet, parents should also teach the proper ways of washing hands.
2. Avoid contact with children affected with HFMD.
3. Cover mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
4. Do not share food utensils.
5. Do not share food or drink.
Other than, parents can take the following actions as preventive measures
If your child's body temperature is high, has mouth ulcers or there is blister on his or her hand or feet, take him or her to a family doctor for a close examination. If he is diagnosed with HFMD, please do not send him or her to child care center until your child is fully recovered from HFMD.
