Safe to Eat Dragon Fruit

Is it safe to eat Dragon Fruit during pregnancy, breastfeeding or while trying to conceieve?Is it healthy for infant, toddler or childrent to eat?

Trying to conceive

It is suitable for couples who are trying for babies to have dragon fruit or pitaya.

Dragon fruit is rich in vitamin B1, B2, B3, C and minerals like iron, calcium and phosphorus as well as many active antioxidants. All these nutrition can help women to have a higher chance of conception.

During Pregnancy

First, dragon fruit, or pitaya contains folic acid which is important for all women who are pregnant. Folic acid can help to prevent birth defect in newborns.

Second, dragon fruit is rich in iron which promotes red blood cell formation. As a result, dragon fruit can help to prevent anemia from occuring during pregnancy.

Lastly, its dietary fiber help pregnant women in fighting constipation which occurs very often during pregnancy due to hormonal change.

During Confinement

It is safe for new mothers to eat dragon fruit during confinement.
