 Pregnancy week by week: development of the growing fetus and change to expecting mother in pregnancy week 6 and milestone in pregnancy week 6

Development of the Embryo

1. The embryo is now about 1 centimeter long, and its back is curved, this makes it look like a little tadpole.

2. Cellular and lens of the eye start to grow, the germs of the hands and feet gradually appear.

3. An early form of the arm, liver, pancreas, thyroid, lung, and heart starts to appear.

Change to the expectant mother

1. Early pregnancy responses become increasingly evident. Nausea and vomiting are common in the morning.

2. The expectant mother may also experience low appetite and malaise.
