Pregnancy Week 7: Development of the Embryo and Change to Mother

 Pregnancy week by week: development of the growing fetus and change to expecting mother in pregnancy week 7 and milestone in pregnancy week 7

Development of the Embryo

1. The embryo is now about 1.2 cm to 1.6cm in length. The head is becoming more prominent and bending towards the chest.

2. An early form of nostril, hands, and feet is appearing. Outline of the nervous system is in near completion.

3. Bone cells begin to develop.

4. An early form of the reproductive organs also appears.

Change to the expectant mother

1. Expectant mother's weight will start to increase.

2. Early pregnancy responses like nausea and vomiting will continue.

3. The expectant mother may feel tired in the morning and before sunset.

4. There is a significant change to the size of the breast, accompanied by some uncomfortable feeling in the nipple.
