What your baby is doing during the second stage of labor?
While you are breathing and pushing hard during the second stage, your baby is also doing his or her work to enter this world.
1. When your cervix is fully open, baby's head will lead the way 'down' and the head will then gradually turn to face your back as he or she enters your vagina.
2. Afterwards, your baby's head will begin to crown or emerge through the vaginal opening.
3. Once your baby's head is out, the head and shoulders will again turn to face your side, allowing your baby to slip out easily.
