Beyond international recognition, this milestone is expected to energise interest among younger practitioners, ensuring that Chingay continues to thrive as a vital part of Singapore's cultural landscape for generations to come.

To bring this rich heritage to life, step into the colourful world of Chingay Parade at the giant Chingay storybook pop-up exhibition, brought to you by the People's Association. Through an engaging and interactive experience, visitors can explore the origins and traditions of Singapore's iconic Chingay Parade whilst discovering the stories of creativity, community and multicultural celebration that have shaped it. The Singapore Botanic Gardens has launched its most ambitious digitalisation project to date, aiming to create an online database of approximately 800,000 herbarium specimens by 2027. This initiative coincides with 2025 being the 150th anniversary of the Singapore Herbarium and the 10th anniversary of the Gardens' UNESCO World Heritage Site designation.
