Child LifeSG Credit: What Parents Need to Know
The Child LifeSG Credit is a one-off S$500 credit for each Singapore Citizen child aged 0–12 in 2025, as part of Budget 2025’s support for families with young children.
When Will It Be Disbursed?
- Children born between 2013–2024: Credits will be disbursed in the week of 7 July 2025.
- Children born in 2025: Credits will be disbursed in April 2026.
Who Is Eligible?
- All Singapore Citizen children aged 0–12 in 2025.
- No application is needed. The government will notify eligible families via SMS, email, or the LifeSG app.

Where can I use the Child LifeSG Credits?
You can use the Child LifeSG Credit at a vast network of both online and physical merchants anywhere in Singapore that accept PayNow UEN QR or NETS QR payments.
According to MSF, approximately 164,000 PayNow merchants and 43,000 NETS merchants in Singapore accept these payment.
- Supermarkets & convenience stores: NTUC, Sheng Siong, Cold Storage, etc.
- Pharmacies and heartland shops: Guardian, Watsons, local minimarts.
- Eateries:hawker centres, cafés, food courts
- Utilities & transport: For bills or transport reloads where QR payment is accepted.
- Online platforms that support UEN QR or NETS QR—includes e-commerce and government payments.
How to Use the Credits?
Credits are disbursed to the child’s Child Development Account (CDA) trustee’s LifeSG app digital wallet.
- Download the LifeSG app if you still do not have.
- Login to LifeSG Via Singpass
- On the main page, scroll down to "Your Benefits" module and access your child LifeSG Credits balance.
- To make payment, click "Scan QR code to pay". Enter the amount and slide to confirm payment. User authentification will be required to confirm the payment.
