Safe to Eat Duck

Is it safe to eat Duck during pregnancy, breastfeeding or while trying to conceieve?Is it healthy for infant, toddler or childrent to eat?

Trying to conceive

It is safe to eat duck meat while you are trying to conceive.


Duck meat is rich in protein and many amino acids which are beneficial.


It is also rich in vitamins like vitamin A, B C and minerals like potassium, sodium, iron and magnesium which are important for couples who are trying to conceive.


During Pregnancy

It is safe for pregnant women to eat duck meat during pregnancy.


Duck meat is mainly (70%) made of monounsaturated fat and polyunsaturated fat which are easily digested by pregnancy women's digestive system.


Duck meat is rich in iron which can help to prevent anemia during pregnancy.

Potassium is also found in duck meat in large amount. Potassium can help to reduce chance of high blood pressure. High blood pressure can lead to many pregnancy complications.


Lastly, it also contains vitamins like vitamin A, B, B6 and minerals like sodium and magnesium which are beneficial to expecting mother during pregnancy.


During Confinement

It is safe for new mothers to eat duck meat during confinement.
