Safe to Eat Orange

Is it safe to eat Orange during pregnancy, breastfeeding or while trying to conceieve?Is it healthy for infant, toddler or childrent to eat?

Trying to conceive

It is suitable for couples to eat oranges while trying to conceive.

Vitamin C content in orange can help the absorption of calcium and iron as well as folic acid. Folic acid, iron and calcium are important for couple who are trying to conceive.

Vitamin C has antioxidant properties which help to boost immune system of the couples and improve the general health of the couples. This will also increase chance of conception.

Being a citric fruit, it is not suitable for couple to have this fruit in excess as it may have negative effects which include discomfort in the stomach.

During Pregnancy

It is beneficial for expecting mothers to eat oranges during pregnancy.

Orange is very rich in vitamin C which aids in the neural development of the fetus. Vitamin C can also aid the expecting mothers in fighting against stress.

Furthermore, orange is a good source of dietary fiber which can prevent constipation during pregancy.

Being a citric fruit, oranges can cause cold and sore throat during pregnancy. It is therefore important for you to limit the amount of consumption.

It should also be noted that pregnant women should not eat orange after consuming prawn or milk.

During Confinement

It is healthy to eat oranges in moderation.

Vitamin C In orange can reduce the stress in new mother and boost immune system. Its dietary fiber can also help to prevent constipation in the new mother.

However, this fruit is one of the cold fruit and may cause discomfort in the stomach of the new mother.

It should also be noted that you should not eat orange after consuming prawn or milk.

During Breastfeeding

It is good for breastfeeding mother to eat orange in moderation.

However, when eat in excess, citric acid in the orange may cause the breast milk to have pungent flavor. The baby may become fuzzy because of this smell. Some babies may also develop diaper rash because of the citric acid in the orange.

One Year Old and Above Baby
