Safe to Eat Potato

Is it safe to eat Potato during pregnancy, breastfeeding or while trying to conceieve?Is it healthy for infant, toddler or childrent to eat?

Trying to conceive

Potatoes are rich in vitamin which balances estrogen, progestrogen and is good for reproductive health.


However, a reasearch has found that women who eat more potato before conceiving will face a high risk of gestational diabetes while pregnant. It is therefore recommended for women to cut down consumption of potato while trying to conceive.


During Pregnancy

First of all, you should discard your potatoes if they turn green, damaged or rotten. Green potatoes contains toxin which is very harmful to the development of the fetus.

Potatoes contain flavonoids which helps to keep blood pressure down. High blood pressure during pregnancy can cause many complications.
