 Cabbage is good for fertility in men and women and can help to increase chance of conceptiond

Cabbage can help couples to increase chances of conception and is therefore suitable for couples to have cabbage while they are trying to conceive.

First, it contains di-indole methane. This is a chemical that can prevent the formation of fibroids and endometriosis in women. Formation of fibroids and endometriosis can block the transport of egg or fertilized egg and therefore prevent conception.

 

Cabbage contains essential fatty acids like linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid. These acids are important for ovulation, especially in the process of releasing of the egg. Without proper ovulation, conception is impossible.

 

Furthermore, cabbage is rich in folic acid which can help to prevent birth defect in the newborns and is usually a must-have during first few months of pregnancy.

Cabbage is also rich in vitamin C which can help to boost body’s immune system.

Vitamin E in cabbage can help to improve male’s fertility by improving sperm count and sperm quality. For women, vitamin E can help to improve general health of the egg which can lessen the chance of miscarriage and birth defect. Lastly, the vitamin E in cabbage can help to increase cervical mucus which can help sperms to stay alive for a longer period.

Lastly, cabbage also contain beta-carotene which help women to regulate the period. With a regular period, it will be much easier for couple to predict ovulation day and therefore increase chance of conception.
