 How babies are made

When a male and a female have sexual intercourse or make love, it is possible that the female will get pregnant and a life is formed.

Sperms must be ejaculated into vagina

It all starts when sperms are ejaculated from penis into vagina during sexual intercourse. These sperms then swim up the vagina through cervix and then into the uterus. The sperms will then enter the fallopian tube of the female body where they look for an egg or ovum to fertilize.

Egg is released only once in a month

New life is not formed yet until the sperm meets the egg in the fallopian tube. Egg or ovum are released by the female body once in a month. Unlike sperms in which a huge quantity is released during ejaculation, only one ovum or egg is released in a month. When the sperm meets the egg, the sperm fertilizes it and makes the first cell of the new life.

Fertilized egg must planted in the uterus

The fertilized ovum will continue to grow as it makes its way to the uterus where it is planted in the lining of the uterus. The female is now said to be pregnant.
