In Singapore, it is not mandatory for all child care centre to charge the same fee for same service type. This has caused the monthly fee to vary widely from one child care centre to another child care centre.

Child Care Monthly Fee – Highest and Lowest, Average and Median
Highest monthly fee for child care service in Singapore is $2338 a month. This is the price that some parents need to pay two child care centres located at East Coast Road and Bukit Timah area respectively.
Lowest fee is charged by one child care centre at Ang Mo Kio which is only $380 a month before any government subsidy.
On the average, monthly fee for full day child care service in Singapore is $974.
Median monthly fee is $809 .(Median means exactly 50% of childcare centres charge more than this )
Child Care Monthly Fee – Type of Service
Type of service offered at child care centres includes full day child care, half day child care, child care service of 12 to 48 hours a week.
Do not expect the price to be halved if you just need the half day child care service. For example, at My First Skool, the standard full day child care service for child between 4 years old and 4 year 11 months old is $743.12 while the half day service is $566.24. This is much more than 50% of the fee for full day child care service.
Child Care Monthly Fee - Age of child
Within the same school, the fee may also vary from group to group. In general, monthly fee should drop slightly when your child progresses from Toddler to Playgroup, Nursery and then K1 and K2.
For example, at Big Foot Preschool at Clementi, fee for full day child care service for 1 years 6 months to 2 years 9 months child is $950 while elder children will just need to pay $850 for full day child care service.
In many private preschools, it is common for the child care centre to charge the same fee for children of all ages.
Child Care Monthly Fee – Same name different price
For child care centre under the name of PCF (PAP Community Foundation), monthly fee varies from branch to branch. For example, at one PCF child care centre in Bukit Batok, the monthly fee is $460 to $480 while another centre within the same area charge $560 a month.
Child Care Monthly Fee – Nationality is a factor
In child care centres like PCF child care centres, foreigners and Singapore permanent residents will need to pay more. This is a measure by the ruling party to differentiate the welfare enjoyed by Singapore Citizen, Permanent residents and non-residents. For example, at one PCF child care centre in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore citizen needs to pay $429.4 monthly for half day child care service, but foreigners will need to pay $644.1 month for the same service.
Similar fee structure is also used by another child care operator My First Skool.
So far, we do not see many private child care operators following the same practice.
